A little help for your next step

Let’s get your
whiskers sorted.

Explore BatCat, find an answer or tell us what needs attention.

BatCat is in development. These guides cover the website and current prototypes; customer-kit setup will follow validated hardware and trials.

Setup / start exploring

Three small steps. Plenty to discover.

  1. 01

    Find your character.

Tap a cat portrait to hear its saved voice sample. Choose another to switch, or use Stop when you’re done.

    Meet all 18 characters ↗
  2. 02

    Take a little test drive.

Explore the fictional owner-app demo. Home and Calendar keep separate records for each example cat.

    Try the app demo ↗
  3. 03

    Picture your household.

Explore the planned pair of complete devices for each cat. Product availability, final specifications and pricing remain open.

Answers / fewer head scratches

What can we help with?

I click a cat but don’t hear its voice.

On Characters, tap a portrait directly and wait for the saved sample to load. Check your device volume, the browser’s tab mute setting and whether sound is going to headphones or another output. Tap Stop, then the portrait again. Samples need a connection to download; speech is never started automatically.

If it still fails, include your device, browser, character name and any on-screen error in a support email.

Can I set up a customer kit now?

Customer-kit setup instructions are still being developed. The planned kit has two complete interchangeable devices for each cat. Website demos do not activate a real device, register your cat or provide live location tracking.

Follow the development evidence for what has been demonstrated and what still needs checking.

How do I use the owner-app preview?

Open Try the app and choose an example cat. Explore its Home and Calendar, then switch cats to see their separate records. All cats, locations and care entries in this website demo are fictional.

My development prototype is not responding.

Record the time, device or unit label, connection status and the last action you tried. If BCHQ shows an unknown or stale status, treat it as unverified rather than current evidence. Staff should check measured Connections and Device bench information in BCHQ before changing services.

Use the support email draft below. Don’t include account passwords, private microphone recordings or access tokens.

How do staff sign in to BCHQ?

Choose Staff login. On the BCHQ PC, open the private sign-in screen. The first administrator creates the initial account there, then adds staff accounts under Business → Staff accounts.

Administrators manage access; operators can save operational changes; read-only staff can view records. Another device also needs the authorised private connection. This is staff access to the development dashboard.

I have forgotten my staff password.

Ask a BCHQ administrator to reset it under Business → Staff accounts. A reset signs out existing staff sessions. There is no public password-reset email service. If no administrator can sign in, contact Simon for recovery on the BCHQ PC.

Are newsletter signups and trial places open?

Public signups are currently closed while the delivery and privacy process is completed. The updates page shows availability. Exploring the website does not reserve a kit, trial place or investment opportunity.
